You Make Me Smile, Grow Up with Dreams

Chinese artist Feng Shuo creates a dreamy world of imagination, but behind the paintings there are always some ironic meanings. 《You Make Me Smile》 and 《Grow Up with Dreams》are two paintings from Feng Shuo’s famous animal series. The facial expressions of the animals are humanlike, exaggerated and unreal. Creating facial expression of the animals and faded-out contours, Feng Shou shapes a bizarre world with oil paint, implying the illusory and mysterious nature of real life with either clear or blurred fluid paint.
