Prudent and sensible, Chinese painter Pan Xiaorong is actually an emerging painter born in 1985. Using ink, knives, rulers, and thick paper, Pan precisely measures and calculates each of her works before she starts it. Using both carving and painting skills, Pan creates ambiguity, crossing traditional boundaries. Delivering her works in a sensible, seemingly indifferent style, Pan thinks she acquires tranquility through repetitive routines, with her mind purified. People who look on the subtly of the paintings may probably perceive the artist’s emotional fluctuation.
