Ye Fan

Ye Fan, a Chinese emerging artist, thought that “To me, painting is a way of recording.” Featuring misplacing and stacking structures/buildings, Ye creates no feelings of suffocating rush, a common feeling found in artistic works depicting urban life. Ye creates distinct lines with meticulous painting skills, juxtaposing Chinese artificial rocks and Western antique furniture in her ink paintings. Ancient and modern, her works deliver a surrealistic and mythic sense of story-telling.
