Paul Cocksedge is a scientist of perception, imbuing “light” with a beauteous force and smashing the barriers between technology and medium in novel fashion, designing visually arresting tableaux and drawing breathtaking beauty from the mundane.

“Bourrasque” is constructed of numerous electroluminescent sheets, each about the size of a sheet of A3 paper, that are suspended in the air and appear to have been caught in a sudden gust of wind, twisting and flapping to and fro, producing a poetic sensation akin to a state of illusion.
The large-scale installation was custom-created for the hotel and will be the artist's exclusive piece to go on permanent exhibition in the world.
